Cruise in Dhaka City
Yes! Cruise in your very own Dhaka! Getting surprised and rolling your eyes? No, I am not going to stress it long, but we all do have cruises in Dhaka whenever the sky "Cries" a bit stronger. The photo I have uploaded was taken on last "Rainy Season" from Dhaka's one of the most common cruising place, Shantinagar. It really is amazing that a metropolitan city like Dhaka, which is not very young of age, has no proper drainage system at all! We, Dhakaians have great patience about every thing. So we certainly don't mind crossing the roads filled with drain-water and dirt. We just raise our trousers, hold the shoes on the hand and start crawling the vast ocean of uncertainty. On the other hand it may be a way of diversion from the same boring life.
Whatever it is, we have cruises in Dhaka city on every monsoon, willingly or unwillingly. Since we have no complaints against it, so why should the government and authorities bother? So keep enjoying! I hope this year everyone will enjoy the car rides in water or rickshaw rides in waves more than ever. Let us wet our senses and leave our sensibilities in the houses to have a nice water trip on the roads. Bon Voyage!
