Weknow a Proverbthat " Penny Wise Pound Foolish". Wedon't want to off our water pump, because we think if the electricity goes off we will not able to pick the water( so we overflow the water from the water tank (Right side picture). That's why we have to face huge amountof water crisis which is shown the left side picture.
From the left side picture we can see that we have plentyof electricity for that'swhy we are usingdifferentcolorsof light to decorate our beloved city in a .occasion of our country & from the right side picture we can see that we are reading under candle light.we have heard about candle light dinner, and this is a symbol of aristocracy. Nowwe arehavingcandlelightreading.Wecan assumethat this is also a symbol of Aristocracy. This is what our sense is.
This is the road of Motijheel. Which is known as the centre of Dhaka. Women, Car, Children are going by this road. & We set here a “GORUR HAAT” . So how much sensible person we are!! This Animalscan injure a Women, Children or Old person. Or Animals can be injured by Car. But we have nothing to do. Because we don’t have any specific large field for “GORUR HAAT”
Yes! Cruise in your very own Dhaka! Getting surprised and rolling your eyes? No, I am not going to stress it long, but we all do have cruises in Dhaka whenever the sky "Cries" a bit stronger. The photo I have uploaded was taken on last "Rainy Season" from Dhaka's one of the most common cruising place, Shantinagar. It really is amazing that a metropolitan city like Dhaka, which is not very young of age, has no proper drainage system at all! We, Dhakaians have great patience about every thing. So we certainly don't mind crossing the roads filled with drain-water and dirt. We just raise our trousers, hold the shoes on the hand and start crawling the vast ocean of uncertainty. On the other hand it may be a way of diversion from the same boring life. Whatever it is, we have cruises in Dhaka city on every monsoon, willingly or unwillingly. Since we have no complaints against it, so why should the government and authorities bother? So keep enjoying! I hope this year everyone will enjoy the car rides in water or rickshaw rides in waves more than ever. Let us wet our senses and leave our sensibilities in the houses to have a nice water trip on the roads. Bon Voyage!
The picture talks more than I can. Filths, rubbishes or trashes- whatever you call these; the meaning remains the same. It always stands for something that is the garbage out of our valuable works and is not at all wanted in the world anymore. We hate those stinky, dirty and sickening things to have around us. We want these out of our bodies, houses or areas. We are decent people. We are educated and we live in a society where we can never keep these junks at all. So whenever we come across to such pile of trashes, we cover our mouth and nose, close our eyes and stop breathing until the horror is passed over. That is what we do. Look at the picture again. I know it’s painful for a civilized person like you to watch it again, but please. Can you differentiate that child and his mother from that heap of filths? Yes, that one in the left is certainly a human child; like the one who passes the road holding his mother’s hand; like the one who sits in the fast food shops to taste juicy drumsticks; like the one who wears rainbow colored laces in her hair. It is certainly just another”Human Child”. But did you look at it the same way you do to the other kids I referred? Or you just looked at it as a part of the filths too? I know the second option is a universal answer. But the great fact is, the “Garbage” child did not produce this garbage or left it on the streets. That is what we- the “social”, “decent” and etc people did. And now we are covering faces to avoid seeing our own work! Amazing we are! So who do you think the “Garbage” of the nation are? That innocent boy who is playing in it or we, who created the whole scene? What do your senses say?
I beg most respectfully to state that, I am a voice of those so many students who cried during the time you punished them. I want you to know that, as a human being, everyone has a cruel side in everyone. But is it necessary to bring it up in front of innocent children? We take our first step to gather knowledge and be literally “human” when we enter a school. At that time, we all learn only those things that you teach us; including the out-of-text things. The funny thing is all of you behave as if the little students should know everything before coming to school! Excuse me; no one is born a scholar! That is why we are coming to schools! But you keep the students in huge pressure and treat them like “Zoo” animals. I bet the “Zoo Keeper” less misbehaves with the animals then you, the “teachers” do to the children. You should know that, the minds of school going children are like plane mirror glasses. That can hold the images you project and can be broken with a slight force. And the teachers are given the responsibility to “handle those with care”. Would you punish or torture your own children the same way? Or would you accept if anyone does so? A teacher should be like a father or mother to the students, who will guide, share, care and scold when needed. Can’t you just figure out the lacking of the student instead of beating him/her brutally like a senseless object? What seems more logical to you, hitting a six-year-old to death-bed or convincing him to be more attentive to studies? What sounds more sensible and fruitful to you?
May I, therefore, pray and hope that, you all would be kind enough to pay some attention and deal with more “Sense and Sensibility”. Let’s make the “noble” profession a real one.
Welcome to my Blog everyone!
Thank you for visiting.
I am trying to point out some common pictures of our surroundings that lack sense and sensibility.
We all see these, experience these, many times suffer these, but we don't do or say anything! This is not the way it should be.
Is it?
